SPDC/Saipem contracting Nigeria/JCL
Southern Swamp Associated Gas Solutions (SSAGS) is the latest project designed to manage natural gas produced along with oil in the Southern Swamp, Nigeria.
The Southern Swamp area comprises 16 fields, of which 12 are currently producing. The fields lie in the coastal swamp area, 65 km south of Warri, with 100 oil wells and flow lines currently producing through four flow stations (Benisede, Opukushi, Ogbotobo and Tunu). A new field logistics base at Tunu is close to completion. Oil is transported via the Trans Ramos pipeline to the Forcados terminal.
Under the SSAGS project, gas will be exported to Escravos Lagos Pipeline System (ELPS) via the existing pipelines and a new pipeline that will be installed.
Final investment decision was taken for the project on April 16, 2012.
Contracts for production facilities and gathering pipelines were awarded to Saipem Contracting Nigeria Ltd and to Daewoo Nigeria Lt

Python Engineering company Limited is presently handling part of the Supply of accommodation vessels, barges, light marine vessels, earth moving Equipment and lifting Equipment for Saipem Contracting Nigeria Ltd through its affiliate JCL.
